Why most courses do not work

Have you ever noticed that most study books look pretty much the same? They present some typical topics like the weather, food and shopping and then they give some sentences about each specific subject in Dutch. You will say them, repeat them at least 50 times, memorize them, and that should do the trick. Is it easy? Not at all. Is it fun? You decide!
It is however an excellent way of learning............................ for parrots!

Many people try to memorize loads of uninteligible words and sentences. They HOPE  that if they do this often enough, they will automatically speak the language at the end.  There is a surprise....
It is not true! For very logical and obvious reasons....  If you want to learn fast, you have to understand every single part of it. You should always start with the easiest things first and... you should have fun.
