My name is Albert Both and I love to help and motivate people that are serious about mastering Dutch or English.

I know from personal experience that life is simply more convenient and more exciting if you speak another language. The reason is simple:  in a foreign country you feel more like an insider, and you gain quickly access to interesting things that otherwise would be hidden for you.  A great bonus is also that speaking a new language most often gives a sense of expansion and achievement. This may be a valid reason why  I speak 7 languages fluently!

I see myself as a coach, because whenever I work with people, I do not only focus on words and language structures that you need to know.  In my work I have discovered over and over again that the most decisive factor is your way of thinking!  Simple thoughts that are well structured and positive about the language and yourself,  ALWAYS lead to great results. Negative, blurry  and chaotic thoughts about yourself and the language  lead to poor results.

Luckily, thinking in a motivating and well structured way is a skill that you can learn. It is not something you learn by studying, but by practicing!  It is the essence of my work.  I take mysteries away and I share loads of valuable insights that allow you to learn much faster and with more fun. I can show others how to find their  fast track and how to avoid the jungles of grammatical misery and boring study.

Working with other people gives me loads of inspiration.  I am  a very  curious person, so I like to meet different people. The good thing for me is that my clients give me constant feedback,  so whenever  results could be better, I can update and improve my own training materials.  During our sessions we may also talk about business or personal life, and often we discover great ideas and new insights.

For me there is one special moment that always makes me feel most exited. The moment that people report that they have made that important shift in their head and that they can now do the things that they want.  I always consider this the most important achievement of all.  Speaking a language without mistakes is not necessarily  the most important or interesting thing. It is that you find the FREEDOM to do the things that you want and the FREEDOM to constantly improve yourself at that very same moment.  

There is one important thing I would like to mention here... Speaking a new language can be a life changing event and therefore it is  special to me if I can WALK together with people during that important moment.  I would like to stress the word WALK here....  It means that you have to stand on your own feet!  I will not carry you, and I will not push you in a wheel chair. But I will support and guide you, motivate you, show  the right direction, take short cuts and show the Fast Fun Track. It is my purpose that you  enjoy the trip as much as possible and that after some time, you will be strong enough to follow your own path, that will eventually lead to even bigger adventures! Or put more bluntly: I want to work with people that take their response-ability and that are seriously motivated to learn new things and to have FUN!

Whenever you know that you are one of them, I will be happy to work with you.  You will be welcome to my trainings then! Also, if you consider this seriously, I wll be happy to have a personal chat with you. We can do it in a nice cafe somehwere in Amsterdam and meanwhile I can give you a small language assessment to find out if your Dutch is really crap, or that - more likely - it could be more brilliant than you think!  Simply send me an e-mail with the text I want to meet you in person Albert and that will do the trick!
